Organising the where to attach the idle control valve and MAP sensor.
The stock Fireblade bodies come with a number of
fittings to gain access to read the manifold
pressure, however not all of the bodies are fitted with
the same fittings, so they would have to be
added as required.
You can see two of the fittings
have very small orifices, and front one is bored
parallel.
I decided to leave the restricted nipples to attach my
MAP sensor, and drill out the existing parallel one in each case,
replacing it for a steel type that allows for greater flow.
The steel nipples were punched from old stock Honda
inlet plenums as they were the perfect size and neatly
finished. To fit them to the bodies they were simply
pressed into the holes with some maximum strength thread
lock adhesive.
