EK Stock Cluster Removal
Removing the stock cluster from an EK Civic.
Removing the cluster is straight forward although
sometimes the metal clips can cause trouble. You will
need a thin flat blade screwdriver at least 5" in length
to remove them.
Do not use excessive force on the trim panel or you
may crack it!
|
1. Remove the two screws at the top
of the trim panel. |
|
2. Make sure the steering wheel
height adjuster is at its lowest setting, then
slide out the bottom of the trim from the
dashboard. The top will not release until the
clips have been un-hooked. |
|
3. With a small, thin flat blade
screwdriver un-hook the clips. Be careful not to
tear or mark the dashboard when doing this. |
|
4. You can now slide the complete
trim panel out. |
|
5. The cluster is held in by four
screws.... |
|
6. Remove the two bottom screws.... |
|
7. And then the two top screws, the
cluster should now be free and can be unplugged
from the wiring harness. |
